Happy Sacred Sunday!
Have you ever had a secret you were dying to share, but had to hold it close until the time was just right?
Well… never have I ever held on to a secret surprise as long as I held on to this one, and boy am I excited to finally share it with you today.
If you’re new to my community or the podcast, you may not know that last year was a very difficult year for our family due to my sister’s health struggles. Well, to say “health struggles” is an understatement.
I originally shared my sister’s story in episode 19 and I closed the loop on her miraculous recovery in epsiode 43 of the podcast.
But I NEVER expected what would happen next.
I haven’t shared this part anywhere else by the way, but i’m telling you because you’re an insider.
On the Sacred Sunday that Episode 43 aired, I got a Facebook message from Lulu—my sister’s internet hero.
A few days before, I had sent Lulu a video of Kathy standing tall and looking radiant. Lulu was so moved by her transformation that she decided, (on the day my podcast aired), to take her RV across the state to surprise Kathy in person.
Lulu hadn’t even heard the podcast yet.
What Lulu didn’t know was that at the moment she messaged me, I had been sitting with my mom sharing how I’d love to grab a video of my sister dancing to Lulu’s popular “ready to dance” song.
The synchronicity was 🤯🤯🤯🤯.
The only problem was that this conversation took place in February and I’d have to wait until April to surprise my sister. Which also meant I had to keep the surprise a secret for more months than I thought my heart could handle.(Here’s an Instagram video I made as I waited for the magical moment to unfold.)
Finally, the day arrived and the surprise was nothing short of incredible. So here it is.
It was on of the most bliss-full moments of my life.
But even then, it would be another few months before I could share the surprise with you.
Until now.
Because today is the last official day of what we called “The Year of Lulu.”
I named Kathy’s 55th year The Year of Lulu because Lulu—who also overcame obesity—reclaimed her health at 55.
And my sister did the same.
Well, tomorrow is Kathy’s 56th birthday… and what better way to close this powerful year than by sharing the story, and thanking God for her healing?
This week, I invite you to listen to the podcast episode and watch the video of five incredible women DARING to come together in celebration of kindness, connection, courage, synchronicity, and change.
It’s an honor to finally share this with you.
In a world that often feels heavy and chaotic,
I believe it’s our sacred responsibility to spread stories of hope and healing.
Sending you so much love on this sacred Sunday,
P.S. If this message has been a gift in your life, would you be kind enough to pay it forward by liking, following, or leaving a review wherever you listen? Your support helps us reach more people who could benefit. Feel free to share it on your socials as well — that would be a lovely surprise. Thank you!
