Happy Sacred Sunday!
I have so much to share with you today! I’m bursting at the seams with bliss and my mind is racing with everything I want to include in today’s email. This week has been a week.
First of all, I did something I had never done before. I rented a hotel in my hometown, packed my bags, and left my family for two days to have my very first business retreat with my small, but mighty, team.
I confess this wasn’t my idea. It was my assistant, Fran’s. She felt it would be a good idea to devote two full days to working ON the business instead of IN the business. That was this was all about. So I agreed.
But I will also admit that it was a little scared to do it.
It was an indulgent and expensive move. My kids (not my husband, fyi, but my kids 😂) questioned this decision.
“Why are you leaving to a hotel in Miami? Why can’t you do this from your office? Why can’t you sleep at home?”
I inconvenienced everyone. Declared myself unavailable. And put everything on hold … not because I was getting paid to speak somewhere, or because I had a personal growth event to attend that was set in stone.
It was because I have decided to take my business and myself that seriously.
This is not something I would have done even a year ago. But I spent all year last year stepping into the Queen version of myself, (yes that was my word of 2025) and this year is all about EXCELLENCE.
I want to show up to my business, my life, and my relationships with excellence. And that requires being brave enough to make decisions even if people don’t quite understand why.
So that happened. And it was worth it. Fran, Frances, and I brainstormed, planned, and got organized for 2026. It felt so good.
But that’s not all!
While I was on this mini business getaway, my friend, Lulu, sent me a message that she was going to be driving through Miami and wanted to see me. (She’s a vanlifer!). All the stars aligned in our favor for me to announce an impromptu sunrise walk for yesterday morning.
And THAT was a total spark of bliss chalk full of lessons and inspiration. But I have decided to share that with you next week instead of today; Otherwise, this love letter will never end!
