Happy Sacred Sunday!
I went to the gym with my best friend the other day and the class was packed. It caught my attention because the classes are usually pretty empty at our gym. Then I remembered it’s January and it all made sense.
You gotta give it to January, man. Nothing gets the masses going like the first month of the calendar year. 😂
But there’s one thing January can’t do for any of us, and that is sustain our momentum.
Wellness requires more than a kickstart or a New Year’s resolution. The only path to true health and fitness is to make it a lifelong pursuit.
That’s why in today’s episode, I share three principles that will help you create wellness that lasts:
✨ The compound effect and how to implement it in all your choices.
✨ Habit stacking and how starting small is actually the boldest move.
✨ Spotting the sneaky ways we compensate and hold ourselves back from thriving.
These aren’t just theories — I learned them the hard way.
I grew up in a family that has faced obesity, addiction, and multiple health challenges ranging from high blood pressure to cancer. For a long time, I truly thought my fate was inevitable because I had shitty genetics. But in 2011, my father’s cancer diagnosis led me to doctors who offered me a different perspective.
This isn’t about fate or genetics, they explained. It’s about lifestyle and choices.
I have spent the last fourteen and a half years implementing these principles. The journey hasn’t been perfect or linear. I still catch myself falling out of alignment, compensating, and discovering new habits that are important to adopt.
But there is one thing I know deep in my bones: I am playing an infinite game.
There is no finish line. Only new sacred heights to pursue.
So on this sacred sunday, I ask you:
Are you willing to play the infinite game with me?
If so, these principles are going to serve you deeply. Let’s allow January to be a steady companion rather than the bearer of unmet goals.
Tune in and let me know which of the three principles struck the biggest chord for you. That’s where we start making adjustments.
Wishing you a healthy and happy long weekend,
