Happy Sacred Sunday!
Last night my kid had a couple of friends over to watch the UFC fight. (These are the things I get to do on Saturday nights because I live in a locker room. đ)
I confess I was asleep on the couch most of the time, but there was this one fight I managed to watch.
Tim Elliott vs Kai Asakura.
This fight was different from any of the fights we had seen before. Tim Elliott was unconventional in his fighting style, and he was also smiling the whole fight. He looked genuinely happy to be in that ring.
Multiple times i heard my husband say, âLook at him! Wow, this fight is so fun!â
Tim Elliott was the underdog in this fight.
He beat Asakura in the second round via guillotine chokehold.
After Joe Rogan announced Elliott as tonightâs winner, he shook the opponentâs (and his coachesâ) hands with kindness and courtesy. He brought joy to this otherwise violent sport.
And then came his interview, where Joe asked him about his awkward techniques and his massive win.
He stated: âI rise to the occasion of my opponents. I had a really good opponent tonight ⌠â and âMore important thing is that Iâm having fun, and when Iâm having fun, Iâm dangerous.â
When asked if this was one of the best victories of his career, he said, âEvery fight is the best fight for me. Even when I lose, iâm still winningâŚâ
Tim Elliott is a shining example of what this weekâs podcast episode is about: the difference between intentions and wishes.
Tim Elliott didnât get caught up in the desire to win this match, or in the fact that Kai Asakura was the favored opponent.
He walked into that ring ready to have fun, fight hard, withstand the punches, and show up fully.
He focused on the âIâ in his Intentions.
Thatâs what Iâm exploring in this weekâs podcast episode, and I love when the Universe rewards me with synchronicities like last nightâs fight.â¨đ¤
Itâs a sign that this is the message I was meant to share.
And I believe itâs exactly what you need to hear too.
So tune in and learn how to shift from being outcome-centric to becoming identity-centric.
This subtle change will dramatically improve your life and relationships.
Sending you so much love today and every day,

P.S. If this message made you think of someone, would you forward it to them? A simple âthis made me think of youâ could be exactly the encouragement they need today.
