Happy Sacred Sunday!
I hope you welcomed the new year with peace, love, and intention … and I also hope you enjoyed the emails I sent you last week to support you in ending 2025 and entering 2026.
After a lovely vacation with my family and officially closing the loop on our North Carolina trip, I’m so happy to be home!
Today, I want to share a story with you that is equal parts hilarious, mortifying, and enlightening. I had a wild experience at a birthday dinner a few weeks ago, and this week I’m telling you the whole story on the podcast. Let’s just say it involved steak and a big mistake on my end.
This is truly one you have to hear, so I’ll keep this email short so you can jump right in.
After you listen, I’d love for you to write back and tell me if you’ve ever had an “extra zero” moment—a time when one detail changed everything.
Sending you so much love,
Happy Sacred Sunday!
Lately I’ve had this question burning in my soul:
How do we blissten when there is so much pain, chaos, heartbreak, and tragedy in the world?
Blisstening is all about listening for the bliss already within you. It’s about celebrating, savoring, and witnessing those sparks of bliss that life offers us.
But every so often, we’re bombarded by painful stories, heartbreaking tragedies, and the realization that there is so much suffering in the world.
Sometimes we’re so immersed in the rhythm of our own lives that we feel disconnected from these things.
Other times, they hit so close to home that they shake us to the core.
I’ve experienced my share of pain in this life, personally and through people I love deeply. Because of that, I know that even in the darkest seasons, we can experience moments of light, of laughter, and joy.
But I often wonder… is it wrong to share that joy out loud when others are hurting?
This week on Bliss’n Up, I’m exploring how to navigate this delicate question.
I still have much to learn, but what I know for sure is this:
Choosing to seek out sparks of bliss is not about turning your back on the world’s pain.
It’s about becoming an agent of light—for yourself and for those around you.
This is why we live with intention.
So we may notice both the heartbreak and the beauty.
Name the path we choose to walk.
And nurture a life that honors that path.
In doing so, we embrace the full spectrum of what Glennon Doyle calls, this brutiful life.
So this Sunday, whether you’re celebrating Easter or simply soaking in the spirit of renewal, may you remember:
Even in the darkest moments, there is light to be found.
May you notice the sparks of bliss within you.
And may you offer your light to others, bravely.
