Happy Sacred Sunday!
You know what I love about naming intentions for the month? It’s how often I’m surprised by what unfolds after I name the intention! I usually name the intention with a specific narrative, but then life happens and the narrative almost always expands beyond what I had imagined.
This month is no different. When I chose “Adjust January,” the intention was to discuss minor tweaks that support you (and me) to stay strong and grounded in the winter season. And yet, the lessons that have come through in the last two weeks have been far greater than that.
Last week, I shared on the podcast a story about adjusting your perspective. This week, I’m sharing a story about adjusting your permission to change.
Both weeks have included a personal confession. I feel like I’ve been airing all my dirty laundry in front of you!
What’s funny is that I have spent my life guarding others’ secrets. I am often referred to as “the vault,” because once the information enters the vault, you can bet it’ll never come out. Even my professions have called for that level of discretion—first, through attorney-client privilege, and now as your life coach.
And yet, I enjoy being an open book. If it’s my story to tell, I love to let you in… because I know how liberating it is to be vulnerable and transparent. Of course, I do retain the right to keep some things private! But you get what I mean.
So last week, I shared lessons learned from a huge mistake I made at a restaurant. And this week, I’m sharing lessons learned from deciding to do something I said I’d never do. You’ll have to tune into the podcast to find out what that is!
What’s one thing you’ve adjusted this month? I’d love to hear your story.
Know that when you hit reply, I personally read all of your messages and welcome them with enthusiasm.
Sending you so much love today and always,
Happy Sacred Sunday!
I hope you welcomed the new year with peace, love, and intention … and I also hope you enjoyed the emails I sent you last week to support you in ending 2025 and entering 2026.
After a lovely vacation with my family and officially closing the loop on our North Carolina trip, I’m so happy to be home!
Today, I want to share a story with you that is equal parts hilarious, mortifying, and enlightening. I had a wild experience at a birthday dinner a few weeks ago, and this week I’m telling you the whole story on the podcast. Let’s just say it involved steak and a big mistake on my end.
This is truly one you have to hear, so I’ll keep this email short so you can jump right in.
After you listen, I’d love for you to write back and tell me if you’ve ever had an “extra zero” moment—a time when one detail changed everything.
Sending you so much love,
Happy Sacred Sunday!
Can you believe this is our last Sacred Sunday together of 2025? I took this week off to enjoy a vacation with my Five Fingers, but I couldn’t skip sending you this last little Moment of Clarity email.
Before we dive in, I want to know: have you ever been shocked to realize you’re in the midst of a full circle moment? That’s what today’s email is all about.
I’m writing to you from the beautiful city of North Carolina, which is way more symbolic than I realized when we planned this trip.
We had been looking for a Christmas time football game in a cold city that we could plan a vacation around, and there was a game in Charlotte that sparked our interest. Hence, North Carolina became our destination.
About a week ago, my son was goofing around in school and broke his foot. They casted him at urgent care, but when we took him to the orthopedic doctor, one of my best friends since high school, Dr. Alejandro Pino in case you’re ever in need of an orthopedic surgeon, he quickly took the cast off and put Orly in a boot.
He explained that the fracture was the equivalent of pulling something off the wall and taking a piece of paint off. Not an actual broken bone. Rather, a fleck of bone came off the top.
“The moment you don’t feel pain anymore, you can take off the boot and resume normal life,” Alex said to Orly.
It dawned on me that the last time my Five Fingers went to North Carolina to welcome the new year, Orly had broken his foot and was in a boot. What a coincidence!
I mentioned this to my friend Nikki, who I am going to visit on this trip, and she commented, “Oh that’s interesting, maybe this is a closing of the loop year for you. You should look into it.”
Into the rabbit hole I went.
Here are the facts:
We spent New Year’s in North Carolina in 2017. We drove there, and on December 31st, 2017, there was an unexpected snowfall, which turned to black ice on the roads. As we attempted to drive up the mountain to the cabin we were staying in, our car lost control and slid toward the edge of the mountain, saved by a tiny patch of grass that gave us just enough traction to stop.
That moment, and the crazy experience that followed, led to me writing my first book, Looking Over the Edge: Facing Your Fears, Finding Your Way, and All the Lessons in Between.
Here we are moments after climbing a mountain back to safety, December 31, 2017.
That happened right at the time when I was facing my fears of leaving my well established law career and starting a new path as an inspirational something. Speaker? Author? I didn’t really know what I was becoming yet.
It was the beginning of a beautiful journey that I’ve been on ever since, full of ups, downs, surprises, challenges, and triumphs.
We randomly chose North Carolina as our New Year’s destination in 2025, exactly eight years later.
I did some research from a numerology perspective and learned that eight is the number of karma, authority, power, material mastery, and energetic accountability. Chat GPT suggested returning to North Carolina eight years later was a spiral return, a moment to see whether you’re standing in the same place energetically, or the same place with a different level of consciousness.
Now check this out:
2017 equals Universal Year 1
Beginnings, initiations, identity shifts
2025 equals Universal Year 9
Completion, release, closure, soul harvest
This suggests that this year was the closing of the chapter of what I began in 2017 and a soul level review as I step into a new cycle in 2026.
Interestingly, Orly only wore his boot for two days. He didn’t need it for the trip, but had it on long enough for me to notice a connection I hadn’t noticed before.
Like I always say, I’m not suggesting that these numbers are the absolute truth or that I know without a shadow of a doubt that this trip was divinely orchestrated. What I am saying is that I enjoy the mystery of connecting these dots.
These little synchronicities make my life feel a little more magical, a little more meaningful, and a little more bliss full.
So here we are in North Carolina, and I am using this time to do some deep reflection on what the years have brought since that life changing trip in December of 2017.
NOW ITS YOUR TURN:
As you close out your year, what connections will you make? Maybe this is a closing of the loop year for you. Maybe it’s the beginning of a loop. Or maybe you’re in the middle and not quite ready to connect the dots.
Regardless of where you are in this journey, my invitation to you is to continue noticing what you’re experiencing right now. The good, the bad, the mysterious. Name your intentions going forward. And nurture those intentions.
The more you follow this framework, the more you will train your eyes to find the connections. And take it from me, life is so much more beautiful when you live with big eyes.
Happy New Year
May 2026 bring you health, wealth, happiness, and may you catch all the sparks of bliss that are already within you. Oh, and tune into this week’s podcast where I’m sharing the power of living a year of intention.

Happy Sacred Sunday!
Have you ever wished you could have record a golden moment, one that’s just too good not to share?
The other day, my husband walked into the house in the middle of the day and overheard a Zoom conversation I was having with a peer. He looked at me and said, “Wow, you really do spend your whole day talking about all this stuff!”
By “stuff,” he meant personal development, personal growth, and what some people lovingly refer to as “my unicorn talk.” (Yes, yes, I do spend all day talking about this stuff.)
Maybe you have your own version of “unicorn talk” … those life-giving conversations that light you up and make you see the world a little differently. For me, finding ways to make the human experience more meaningful, productive, and blissful is my absolute passion. There’s nothing else I’d rather discuss, to be honest.
But one thing I’d love to do more of, and I don’t do nearly enough, is record these conversations to share them with you.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been on a morning walk, at dinner, or driving while talking on the phone with a coach or a friend, and I’ve said, “Gosh, I wish everyone could hear this!”
Because the gems and wisdom that come out are absolute gold.
Honestly, I wish I had my own reality TV show, but instead of cheating, drama, and gossip, the show would be all about mindset, wellness, and relationships.
I don’t think my family would be very happy with me, lol, so we’ll have to shelve that idea.
But this time I did do something along these lines … I was having my regular weekly meeting with my assistant, Fran, and spontaneously converted it into an interview.
There was no prep, no script, no agenda; simply a conversation worth sharing about how she has been approaching life since she got the memo that she’s in the “fourth quarter.”
Fran is full of wisdom and she’s doing life right. If you’re navigating a new season, or just need a little spark of wisdom from someone walking the walk, today you get to experience Fran’s perspective, too.
I’d truly love to know if you enjoy this kind of episode. Would you like me to turn the microphone on more often when I realize I’m having a golden conversation? Just hit reply and let me know.
(Oh, and one of these days I’m going to share a story that happened to Fran and me recently that will make your mouth drop. But that’s for another day!)
Hope you enjoy this one.
Sending you so much love today and always,
Hey,
Unfortunately, I can’t wish you a happy Sacred Sunday because today is Monday! Sorry for not sending my moment of clarity email yesterday.
My colleagues and mentors for years have urged me to write my emails in advance and batch them so that I never have the pressure of not being able to write to you on a day I’m busy.
This is sound advice, and on days like yesterday, the strategy makes sense.
But here’s the thing, I love writing to you on Sunday mornings. It’s my love letter to you.
I often reference things that have just happened or are going on in real time; stories I often don’t share anywhere else; and insights on the podcast that you may also not see anywhere else.
This is not a task I hand off to chat gpt to check the box of getting it done.
Hence, there are days I’ll send it late. And in this week’s case, a day I won’t be able to get to it at all. (I think this may be the first Sunday email I miss in 2025).
But here’s the moment of clarity: Life doesn’t have to be a series of perfectly checked boxes. Yes, you want to be consistent. Yes, you want systems to make you more efficient. No, you don’t want to be the person who doesn’t have follow-through. And yet you also get to be human. You get to be messy sometimes. And in a world where robots can handle almost everything for you… maybe a weekly love letter from a real human arriving one day late can be a refreshing reminder that we still exist.
Okay, a couple more announcements:
The theme I chose for Bliss’n Up this month is INSPIRIT and if you haven’t tuned into the podcast this week, it’s about getting into the spirit of forgiveness. Several people have reached out to me to let me know how deeply it impacted them.
Also, today is my birthday, and I’m inspirit of gratitude for the life I have built in the years I’ve been given so far.
I spent the first half of my life living the life I was born into by default, and I have spent the second half choosing to live a life by design.
That hasn’t always been easy, but it has always been worth it.
Ever since I opened my eyes to synchronicities, it has also felt guided and magical, and sharing those experiences with you, hoping to open your eyes, has made the journey purposeful.
So even though this email is a day late, I hope you know that each week when this arrives in your inbox; I wrote it with so much love.
Thank you for being in my inbox and in my world. My wish today on my birthday is that you catch a spark of bliss and experience a little magic just because.
Big hug,

Happy Sacred Sunday!
Just like that, we are closing out November and entering the last month of 2025. Today is the perfect day to carve out some time to notice what November brought and name what you want for December.
As you read this, take a moment to think about:
What did November bring into your life? What do you hope December holds for you?
The theme we chose for November was N2, which stood for Now and Next. This holiday weekend exemplified this theme.
Back in 2021, our family spent Thanksgiving at my husband’s cousin’s vacation home in Orlando, Florida. We booked an Airbnb nearby for our five fingers, my mom and husband, mother-in-law, and Orlando’s grandparents. This immediately became a tradition we wanted to repeat forever.
One of the main reasons it was so special was the quality time we got to spend in the home with Orlando’s elderly grandparents. Orlando often says, “Each year when the trip is over, I hold my breath and pray that I’ll be able to take my grandparents back next year.”
We were fortunate enough to squeeze in yet another trip this year. But things were different.
First, our cousins could not attend because of unforeseen circumstances, and the celebration ended up being in our Airbnb. Second, although our grandparents seem in good physical condition, the change of environment was very hard on them this time. On Friday morning, Orlando realized the biggest gift he could give his grandma was to take her home. So while we were at the Islands of Adventure, he put them in the car and drove them back to Miami.
Have you ever felt a moment shift, realizing you might be living the last of something precious? The last bedtime story. The last gathering in a favorite place. The last hug before everything changes. Sometimes, we don’t recognize these “lasts” until they become memories.
As the family gathered this Thanksgiving in that rented Airbnb, we knew that there might not be a next time that looked exactly like this.
The week prior, we had debated canceling the trip to Orlando altogether since the rest of the family couldn’t make it. But my husband looked at me wisely and said, “Caro, we must go on this trip. Because right now is all we have. We still have Mama and Papi. Besides, it’s not just about them. We don’t consider that anything can happen, and it could be our last Thanksgiving for any of us, regardless of age or circumstance.”
So even though the trip was different, and in some ways carried an underlying sadness, it was also incredibly beautiful and nostalgic because we were so intentional about enjoying what we had right now.
We also had the joy of surprising my mother with my brother and sister joining us for the first time!
We sat around the table, and each one shared heartfelt gratitude for everyone who was present at that moment in time. We marked the moment with love, laughter, and tears.
Is there someone or something in your own life you want to cherish a little more as the year ends? Is there a tradition, a meal, or a simple moment you want to mark as December sweeps in?
This is what N2 is about. It’s about awareness, intention, and planting seeds. It’s about remembering that what you do now affects who you become tomorrow, and it is your responsibility to act wisely. (This theme was also a good reminder when I was choosing what sides to include on my Thanksgiving plate 🤣!)
One thing is for sure, as I get ready to embrace a new theme for December, I am stacking N2 onto my bank of themes I never want to forget.
If you’re wondering how to close out the year with more intention and meaning, I invite you to tune in to this week’s Bliss’n Up podcast. The December theme might be exactly the inspiration you need as you set your sights on what’s next.
Now it’s your turn. What will your theme be for December? If you feel called, I’d love to hear what you’re naming or nurturing as we move into this final month together.
Sending you so much love today and every day.

Happy Sacred Sunday!
Have you ever had a moment when a series of seemingly unintentional and unrelated events unfold, and you end up experiencing an incredible coincidence that, in hindsight, feels divinely connected?
That, my friend, is a moment of synchronicity.
Back in September, our Five Fingers took a trip to Maine for my cousin’s wedding. If you read these Sacred Sunday emails regularly, you may remember me telling you about that trip.
One of the annoyances of the trip was that my kids were not happy with the flight we had booked to return. Welcome to life with teenagers who have many opinions (cue eye roll). Throughout the weekend, they kept asking if there was any way we could get home earlier since they had school the next day and they like having time to ease into the week. I kept brushing them off and saying, “You’ll be fine.”
But then, on the night before we were leaving, my oldest, Orly, said, “Mom, would it hurt to just check the airline and see if there are any better flights available? If there aren’t, it’s fine. But why couldn’t you at least look?”
That felt like a reasonable request, so I agreed to check, fully expecting not to find anything.
But there it was. One flight. A 6am departure that, even with a layover, would land us in Miami at 11am. (There are no direct flights to Miami from that airport.)
Even I agreed it was a much better option than the one we had, which got us home in the evening and came with a long delay.
I called the airline, and the agent told me that changing our flights would cost about $1000. No thanks. But then she added, “Or you could go standby and get on the flight for free. There’s no guarantee you’ll make it, but you can try.”
“Is the flight full or is there room for us?” I asked.
“There are five seats available right now,” she said. “It’s 11pm, so you just have to hope no one books between now and 6am or gets on the standby list before you.”
Five seats. Exactly. What are the odds?
I hung up, gathered my family for a meeting, and laid out the factors.
We’ll have to wake up at 4am.
We won’t know if we can board until we’re there.
If we don’t get on, we’ll be stuck in the airport for six more hours and still get home in the evening.
If there are delays, we could miss our layover flight and still get home in the evening.
Knowing all of this, do you want to take the risk just to get home early?
My husband and boys agreed unanimously to go for it.
We went straight to bed, and the next morning we were off.
From the moment we got into the Uber at 4:10am, there were several hiccups that could have caused us to miss the flight. The biggest one was that the first flight was severely delayed, which left us with almost no time to make the second.
When we landed, we rushed to the ticket counter only to realize we had gone to the counter for our original booking, which was for a different city. It took a minute for the flight attendant and me to understand what happened. Once he gave us the correct gate, it was on the other side of the Philadelphia airport, which is huge.
We took the tram, ran with our carry-ons, and arrived just as they were closing the flight. The attendant had already thrown our standby boarding passes into the garbage can. We were the last people to board.
It took all of this for me to meet the man who is my guest on today’s podcast.
A man who desperately needed to meet me at that precise moment.
A man whose life had just taken a devastating turn and who was praying for help.
It was an incredible coincidence that Orlando and I landed on the plane this man was on.
Or was it a coincidence?
How many moves, decisions, delays, and nudges did it take for us three to meet?
All I can say is that I don’t have all the answers, but I choose to enjoy the mystery.
If you’re craving a story of hope, synchronicity, and the power of following your intuition, this episode is a must listen. Join me and my new friend Carlos from the airplane as we share a story that can restore your faith in humanity and remind you that grace can find you even in the mess.
Sending you so much love today and everyday,

P.S. As we approach Thanksgiving, I want to take a moment to thank you. Thank you for reading these emails each week. Thank you for your replies and letting me know this work matters. Thank you for being the reason I get up every Sunday morning to share these moments of clarity. I love you.
Happy Sacred Sunday!
A year and a half ago, on an ordinary evening, my husband, three boys and I sat around the living room chatting when I asked my eldest son a rhetorical question that would change our lives.
As we talked about schools, I turned to Orly and said knowingly,
“But you’re so happy at your school, aren’t you?”
Orly’s head hung low, his eyes dropping to the floor. “Actually, no. I’m not happy at all.”
That was the beginning of a series of long conversations as Orlando and I tried to understand what was happening with our son.
At seven, Orly discovered a love for acting, and we quickly realized he had serious talent. We supported him fully and gave him every opportunity to pursue this path. By 4th grade, he left his school to join a magnet theater program (a choice he made for himself).
One day, he came home with a phone number scribbled on his forearm.
“Mom, I need you to call this talent agency so I can audition.” He pestered me every day until I finally called and submitted his application. A couple of months later, he was in New York signing a contract. At ten years old, Orly was officially a professional actor. He worked hard and had some incredible experiences.
But by fifteen, things had changed.
The more we listened, the more we learned that all he wanted was a “normal” high school experience: a chance to play sports, try new things, and not be defined solely as “the theater kid.”
When I asked him why he didn’t tell us this sooner, he said, “I felt like this was the path I chose, so iI just had to suck it up.”
His passion had become his prison.
My husband took Orly by his shoulders and said, “Son, this is your life and you only get one. There will be times in your life when you realize you’re on the wrong bus. That’s when you get off the bus. You don’t get off because the ride is bumpy or hard — you get off when you know you’re going in the wrong direction. Is it time to get off this bus?” (Click here to listen to that podcast episode)
Orly nodded.
So, we started exploring new options. The following fall, Orly began 10th grade at a private school offering a more diverse and well-rounded experience. He still took advanced theater as an elective, but he also joined the football team, made new friends, and explored interests that didn’t revolve around theater.
It turned out that this well-rounded school, full of extracurricular choices, also had a devoted theater director and many talented students, some of whom Orly already knew from past productions.
Fast forward to today.
Orly is now seventeen and has found his love for theater once again.
But it’s a different love. It’s a free love, not a forced one.
Yesterday I spent the day with Orly at the Highschool Thespian District competition. We had a beautiful day of connecting with the people from his old school as well as enjoying our time with the people from his new school.
His school took home 3 top honor awards (which means their performance won in their category) which is a huge accomplishment. As I sat
back savoring this part of Orly’s life that I cherished all these years, I noticed this N2 moment. My heart overflowed with gratitude and sparks of bliss, just to be there with him, and knowing he was truly happy.
When we chose to change Orly’s school, we had no idea what would come next. We didn’t know if he’d walk away from acting altogether. We were letting go of the life we’d known for so many years, unsure of what the future would hold.
And yet, we trusted that changing schools and expanding his focus was right for him now.
So we took the leap—because this moment, right now, is all you truly have.
May this moment of clarity remind you that sometimes getting off the bus doesn’t mean changing your destination completely.
Sometimes it just means taking a different route, going at a different pace, or finding a bus that better fits who you are becoming.
Living an N2 life requires courage and faith that when you take aligned action in the now, the next right thing will find its way to you.
And that’s also what this week’s podcast episode is all about.
Thank you always for being here with me each week on this journey of life. I look forward to writing to you every Sunday.
With love,
Happy Sacred Sunday!
I woke up this morning so excited to share this week’s podcast episode with you. It’s a live interview I recorded last week with my friend Nikki Novo, in front of a beautiful audience.
This entire week has been filled with #sparksofbliss: dreams realized, moments savored, energy riding high.
I couldn’t wait to bring you into that energy today.
But when I went to check the podcast this morning, it wasn’t there.
Cue: frantic texts, voice notes, and calls to my podcast producer… only to find out there was a glitch in the system and the episode may not be live until later today, or even tomorrow.
I went from full-blown #insoportable unicorn mode 🦄 to disappointed and disillusioned in five seconds flat.
Mind you, I recognize that this is not a tragedy or a big deal. I wasn’t even sure if it merited sharing this message with you.
But I decided to, because this is the work.
Like I often say, this hurts like a paper cut. Paper cuts may be tiny but they still sting.
And this is life.
Some days, you ride the wave of bliss.
Other days, the undertow drags you down unexpectedly.
And sometimes both hit at once and leave you wondering what the hell just happened!
This morning felt like all the magic of the week vanished in a single moment.
But here’s the invitation:
⚡️ To surrender what I can’t control
⚡️ To take responsibility for what’s mine
⚡ To act on what I can control
⚡To notice what I’ll do differently next time
This is an N2 moment—a chance to be intentional, to recalibrate, to meet what’s next with clarity instead of chaos.
I refuse to let disappointment go to waste.
So here’s my plan:
I’m going to feel my feelings.
I’m going to regulate my system.
And when I’m grounded again, I’ll come back and share all the magic this week brought me. And when the episode is ready, I’ll let you know also.
Because the bliss is still within you, even when you can’t find it.
This is what we do in real time in 1:1 coaching and inside my group program, The Bliss’n Up Hub.
If you’re ready to ride the bliss waves and do the deep work when things crash unexpectedly… let’s talk.
With love,

Happy Sacred Sunday!
It’s that time of the month again.
The day we Notice and Name our monthly intention so we can Nurture a life of meaning, aligned action, and progress.
Last night, I was at a friend’s 50th birthday celebration, and a group of us were sitting in a circle, chatting.
At some point in the evening, one friend turned to me and said,
“Oooohhhh I can’t wait to see what November’s intention is going to be tomorrow.”
(She was referring to my podcast.)
Then, in the midst of another conversation, someone else perked up and said,
“That’s it! That’s what I’m naming my theme for November!”
My heart almost burst seeing how this practice has become such a cherished part of people’s lives.
When you train your mind to think with intention, you build a life of intention.
And that, my friend, changes how you move through the world.
It makes your months more memorable and slows your fast-paced life just enough for you to truly feel the moments instead of rushing past them.
So, without further ado, tune into today’s podcast to discover what we’re naming November for the collective.
And if yours is different from mine, that’s beautiful too. There are no rules, only rhythms, and this is your unique life.
Sending you so much love,
Bliss’n Up Podcast
