Happy Sacred Sunday!
It’s a spectacularly beautiful Sunday morning on the beaches of Marco Island. I just finished a mindful, long walk by the water. The last couple of days I’ve had the privilege of witnessing the most gorgeous sunsets and quality time with friends and family.
A friend of mine captured this sweet picture of my oldest son, Orly, sitting with his momma enjoying her favorite view in the world.
But you know what has made the weekend most enjoyable? Believe it or not, it’s been how mindful I’ve been about food.
I have to confess to you, that for some time I had slipped into autopilot with my nutrition.
I got a little too comfortable with the identity of being a “healthy” eater who occasionally indulges. It’s like when you’re coasting in a healthy relationship or at work. Subconsciously you may start to take some things for granted, pay less attention, or stop doing the things that made things so great to begin with.
That happened to me with food.
It wasn’t a complete detour of my habits. I “mostly” eat well.
No, This was way more subtle.
It was an accumulation of choices here and there that showed I had started to drift.
Until I noticed the side effects.
Join me today on the podcast as I share some embarrassing but hilarious stories of myself, my journey to health, and how I noticed I’d slipped into autopilot.
This path of life is not a straight line. It doesn’t have to be perfect, but it helps if you stay aware and mindful. Because the farther you detour from your aligned path, the harder it is to find your way again.
The reason I said my weekend vacation has been better because I’ve been mindful about food is because I feel awake and alive. I feel empowered and in control of myself. And that feeling makes me feel vibrant and bliss-full.
You can either sleepwalk through life or you can wake up.
May this be your invitation to wake up if you’re sleepwalking. If this message is for you, you’ll know.
Sending you a sun-kissed, coconut smelly hug today.
Hope you enjoy your Memorial Day long weekend.

Happy Sacred Sunday!
It feels like the older we get, the faster time seems to pass. Although I will say that I’ve noticed time moving faster for my kids than it did for us when we were younger. I think technology contributes to that.
In any event,
One day blends into the next, months slip by, and before we know it, another year has passed.
If you’re not careful, life can start to feel like a blur. Suddenly you’re running on autopilot, barely pausing long enough to catch your breath before the next urgency demands your attention.
I refuse to succumb to that.
That’s why I’ve created a framework to interrupt the snowball just enough to slow it down.
It’s a practice of presence.
Of marking time with meaning and reflection.
What if, instead of rushing through life, we became artisans of it— what if each month was a pearl and we were jewelers, carefully stringing together each pearl to create something beautiful, meaningful, and uniquely ours?
Every month, you can carve out space to:
notice what has been,
name what matters most, and
nurture what you want to bring forward.
It’s not just about setting goals—it’s about marking time, collecting the pearls of your experiences, and crafting a life that feels lived, not just passed through.
When you live like this, you hold in your hands a string of moments that tell a story—a life you’ve shaped with care and style, not one that just happened to you.
This week on the Bliss’n Up Podcast, I’m sharing this concept and naming our theme for March.
This theme is going to pull us forward instead of pushing us into burnout.
It invites you to step into flow, to attract the energy, opportunities, and momentum that align with the life you truly want to live.
And I get to share a powerful story of a friend of mine who transformed her life when she stuck in a rut, with one simple mindset shift.
Tune into this week’s episode to bliss’n up.
And if you’re craving more intentionality in your life, let’s talk. I’d love to help you craft a life that feels as beautiful as it looks.
Happy Sacred Sunday!
A few months ago, I shared a personal story about my sister’s massive health crisis. At the time, we were fighting for a 20% chance to save her leg because we knew that, in her condition, losing her leg could be a death sentence.
She was in so much pain that she didn’t even want to fight. She just wanted the suffering to stop.
I can’t remember if I shared this on episode 19, but in the middle of us making this difficult decision, I told my sister,
“Sis, you can’t cut your leg just yet. You gotta give God the chance to perform a miracle!”
I really felt at the time it would take a miracle to get my sister out of this point of no return, but we had to fight for it even if it wasn’t guaranteed.
The spoiler alert is that my sister successfully saved her leg.
But the real success was the chain of events that changed the trajectory of her life.
As I wrote this, it hit me: there were so many setbacks and challenges in this process—but in hindsight, it all feels like the miracle we made space for.
That’s what today’s episode is about—closing the loop on this journey and sharing all the synchronicities that unfolded.
But this isn’t just about my sister.
Then this episode is for you.
Tune in and bliss’n up ... there are lessons for you here.
Sending you so much love today and always.
Welcome to the last Sacred Sunday of 2024!
With less than 72 hours left to close out the year, this may be a great opportunity to reflect on the past 12 months.
What practices did you sustain throughout the year? What served you well and kept you aligned with your values? What do you want to carry into the new year, and what are you ready to leave behind?
It may be a good time to look through your camera roll, calendar, and/or journal to remember the highlights, the challenges, and the storyline of your year.
Or ….
it may not be the best time to do this because you’re traveling with friends, exploring a new city, or skiing down a slope.
That’s the tricky part about this holiday — real life doesn’t always align with the end-of-year practices you’d like to implement. It’s also why starting New Year’s Resolutions on January 1st often falls flat.

This used to frustrate me— until I discovered a practice that changed my perspective on everything.
That’s the practice of living in alignment with the seasons.
Respecting the natural flow of seasons helped me realize something profound: this “new year” holiday lands squarely in the middle of winter. While I still love New Year’s Eve celebrations, I no longer feel pressured to start a brand-new life on January 1st.
I’ve let go of the rush to close out everything by December 31st. And I no longer feel the frustration of being out of routine on the very day I’m “supposed” to begin fresh, new habits.
Instead, I give myself grace and align my actions with the rhythms of the season. Between October and December, I focus on closing the loops on matters that truly need to be wrapped up by December 31st — like taxes and finances. Beyond that, I take my time.
I enjoy the process of reflection.
I savor the winter.
I contemplate practices rather than resolutions.
I flow with the seasons instead of forcing them.
Tony Robbins says, “We overestimate what we can do in 1 year but underestimate what we can do in 10.”
I’d add that we also underestimate what we can accomplish WITHIN a year because we overestimate what needs to happen in January.
That’s why today I want to give you permission to celebrate the end of the year while remembering that the winter season isn’t over yet. You will still have time to “spring” into action.
Reflection and projection don’t have to happen this week. If next week feels better, do it then. What matters is that you don’t skip these exercises altogether because they are important.
On today’s podcast, I’m sharing 5 intentional practices I use throughout the year that outlast resolutions. Living by the seasons is the first practice, but there are 4 more I’m excited to share with you.
Let’s flow into 2025 with peaceful, graceful energy. We have plenty of time to optimize this year— you’ll see!
See you in the new year.
Happy Sacred Sunday!
Last week on the podcast, I shared about the principle of using intention to overcome overwhelm, rush, and anxiety especially during the holidays.
But I forgot to share a story that illustrates the principles beautifully. It’s too good NOT to share, so I’m sharing it with you this week.
A couple of year ago, I was hosting a group coaching program. My dear friend, Betsy, joined.
During one of our calls, I asked Betsy what her intention was for the week.
She said her intention was to slow down, but that she wasn’t going to be able to live into that intention until the following week!
She was quite upset about it.
Based on how she presented her problem, I coached her on ways to remove things from her plate. It seemed like a logical solution.
But after tackling each event one by one, Betsy noticed she didn’t want to remove anything from her plate.
Her plate was full of things she wanted to do.
The exercise led us to an even deeper question: if you want to do all these things, and your’e not willing to remove anything from your plate, then do you really want to slow down, or is there something else you want?
That’s when Betsy discovered what she really wanted. She wanted to be present and enjoy the week. Her belief at the time was that he only way to be present in life is by slowing it down.
Bingo.
It was then that I encouraged Betsy to set the intention of presence rather than slowing down.
She did, and after listening to last week’s episode, she called to remind me how that forever changed her life. She told me up until then she didn’t really understand what setting intentions was truly about.
It was so transformative, she now teaches intention in her life coaching academy.
This is such a powerful episode and will teach how you can change everything even when you can’t change anything.
You’ll even hear how this changed the experience of Betsy receiving the news that her father had cancer.
You won’t want to miss this one. It could be exactly what you need to hear.
See you in the pod.
Hey!
Have you ever surprised yourself when you finally change something you thought you could never change?
There’s an adage that says, “A zebra can never change his stripes.” We’ve long believed that deep down inside, people don’t change.
But over the years, science has disproven this theory. Research shows we can change our brains, reprogram our minds, and reinvent ourselves — proving that we don’t have to be stuck on “that’s just the way I am.”
Even though I know this to be true, I help my clients make this their truth, and I have witnessed radical transformations — it still shocks me when I do this for myself!
This week on the podcast I’m talking about changing your identity when it no longer serves you and how I am tackling a part of my identity that no longer serves me — the fire-drill personality.
Some habits are hard to break and identities that are hard to step into. This one has been a personal challenge of mine for a long time.
That’s why I blew my mind when I recorded my podcast ahead of time in lieu of the pending Hurricane Milton. It was in the process of planning the episode that I found myself asking, “Who even am I?”
When you put your head down and do the work, one day you get to look up and realize how far you’ve come and how much you’ve changed.
If you’ve ever had a habit you want to adopt, a part of your lifestyle you want to change, or an aspect of your personality you wish you could change, this episode is for you.
Tune in and happy Sunday.

Hey!
On this sacred Sunday, I’m thinking about our world’s interconnectedness.
How, if we pay attention, we find so many connections and commonalities with each other despite different religions, traditions, cultures, and environments.
We have so much to learn from each other, and if we set aside our biases and truly looked at the world through the lens of commonality, we would find much more that unites us than divides us.
I’ll give you an example.
This week I got to learn so much about Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year and this period they’re currently celebrating called “The 10 days of Awe.” So much of what the Jewish people are practicing in their faith right now is aligned with the “Close the Loop” theme I chose for this October.
While at first glance, I chose the theme from a time management, productivity standpoint, learning more about the Jewish faith inspired me to dig deeper into the theme.
By learning about their practices, it has enhanced the way I will approach the rest of this month for myself.
That’s what I’m exploring on today’s podcast, including some reflection questions to help you close the loops in your life and welcome a fresh, renewed version of yourself.
Plus, I’m sharing some uplifting news about my sister’s road to recovery from her recent amputation.
Tune in and have a great Sunday.

Your support means the world to me, and this is my way of saying thank you.
Let’s make this fun and help more people discover the bliss they deserve.
When I ask people to tell me what they think of when they hear the word bliss — I can almost see them transporting themselves to a mountain, a beach, a picturesque location, or a memory of something extraordinary they experienced.
That’s because those are the most obvious.
We often think feeling bliss can only be experienced in the rare and precious extraordinary moments.
But what if bliss can be found in the ordinary moments, too?
This week, as I drove my kiddos to school in the morning, I was surprised with a euphoric feeling of peace, joy, and butterflies in my stomach.
A spark of bliss.
There was nothing extraordinary about my morning commute, but the feeling showed up.
The following day I was on the phone with my financial advisor. He had an extraordinary summer full of trips, travel, and fun.
But on that Monday morning, as he took a few minutes to write in his journal, he was struck by the deep sense of gratitude he felt for resuming his simple morning routine.
He, too, was surprised by the spark of bliss he felt in something as simple as having a piece of banana with peanut butter before his morning workout.
This got me thinking about the paradox of being human:
How we need certainty and variety.
How we can experience bliss in extraordinary and the ordinary.
How life doesn’t have to be all or nothing — it gets to be a dance between the alls and the nothings.
And that’s what I’m discussing on today’s podcast.
After you’ve listened in, I’d love to know what sparks of bliss have surprised you lately? Whether ordinary or extraordinary. Reply to this email and share with me!
The other day I asked my friend, Betsy, to go with me on a sunrise walk. This is my favorite of all walks — a 5 1/2 mile path that leads us to the water at Mattheson Hammocks at precisely the moment the sun rises above the water. After spending the last couple of months in and out of hospitals, on the line with doctors, and consumed by my sister’s health crisis, I felt like a picturesque sunrise was just what I needed.
But on that morning, when we got to the water, the sky was covered in clouds.
It’s not like I thought the sunrise didn’t happen. I knew the sun was there, even though I couldn’t see it.
And even though I couldn’t experience that majestic sunrise landscape on that morning, walking the path was still worth it.
I spent time processing with Betsy; I moved my energy and my body; I spent time in nature; and I got to take in the sounds of the water on a breezy morning.

This got me thinking about experiencing Bliss.
Bliss is a deep and intense sense of inner harmony, peace, and fulfillment that transcends time and space. It’s a state of being that exists within us, even though sometimes we can’t feel it.
Bliss is not something you can fake or force, nor is it something you can pursue.
It’s like the sun — it just is.
But what you can do is walk the path that leads to it, knowing that’s the only part you have control of.
As we get ready to wrap up July and enter the last month of summer, I am setting the intention to make this month a “Back to Bliss” month.
All this means is I’m getting grounded and intentionally walking the path. I’m sharing all about this on today’s podcast.
I invite you to listen and learn:
Why it’s important to take some to pause and reflect at the end of each month.
Which questions you get to ask as you wrap up one month and enter a new one.
How to get Back to Bliss this month
Sending you so much love as always.
